  • LIUNA President O'Sullivan - Clinton right on natural gas policy
    Posted On: Feb 13, 2016

Washington, D.C. (February 12, 2016) – Terry O’Sullivan, General President of LIUNA – the Laborers’ International Union of North America – made the following statement today in response to Clinton’s policy release on safe and responsible natural gas production:

Secretary Clinton’s statement of policy on natural gas is a common sense and practical approach to addressing the threat of climate change and the urgent need for affordable energy. LIUNA believes in an all-of-the-above energy policy that relies on a mix of fuels - from oil to natural gas, to nuclear, wind, solar, and hydropower - to create good jobs and ensure that our nation has abundant, affordable domestically produced energy now and in the future.

Secretary Clinton is the working class champion we need in the White House and should be commended for her clear commitment to building America’s energy infrastructure.  She not only understands the importance of natural gas in our energy future but also the importance of union labor in building our energy infrastructure.

Hillary Clinton is a tough and tenacious fighter who as the next President will help our nation build a strong energy future that creates good union jobs, addresses climate change, and ensures America's energy independence.
